Goodies produced with alternative materials to plastic
To do this, we have broken down the alternative products into two categories. To begin we will talk about materials, of natural origin, which can decompose quickly in our environment. We will then talk about the circular economy in the promotional item sector via the recycling of existing elements to avoid dumping new products on the market, while reducing the energy impact of the creation of goodies.
Goodies & promotional items made from natural materials:
PLA, or polylactic acid , is a plastic widely used in our society. It is more precisely a bio-plastic, made from corn starch, sugar cane, beets, etc. The latter is entirely biodegradable, PLA goodies do not pollute nature at the end of their life.

Glass is made from natural materials: sand, soda & limestone. The latter is manufactured by mainly combining these 3 elements at high temperature. Although the degradation time of glass is long, on average 4000 years, it is infinitely modular for goodies that can be renewed.

Bamboo is one of the plants requiring little water with rapid and significant growth. It can replenish itself in just a year without fertilizer. Bamboo is renewable, strong and durable. We find bamboo in the category of promotional items dedicated to the kitchen: mug, cutting board or even in the aesthetic category: toothbrush, comb, soap dish, etc.

During roasting, the husk is usually discarded. It is an environmentally friendly resource that can replace plastic in certain promotional items. After oil, coffee is the second most traded product in the world, which implies vast prospects for this material in the advertising sector. The coffee industry allows us to recover waste to create different promotional items.

Wheat straw is generally an agricultural waste that remains after grain extraction or wheat cultivation. This material can be reused in an ecological way by reducing the proportion of plastic used in goodies such as glasses.

Recycled materials for the upcycling of goodies
Cotton is the most used textile fiber in the world. Mainly grown in India, China and the United States, cotton needs a mild climate and a significant quantity of water (11,000 liters of water for approximately 1 kilo of cotton). Recycling cotton using materials already used or losses from industrial production can drastically reduce water consumption, sometimes by up to 98%.
