Plastic goodies are possible!

Plastic goodies, it's possible!

How to differentiate between good and bad plastic when making your goodies?

80% of the plastic produced is reusable in our sorting bins! Plastic is not necessarily a material that is harmful to the environment. It is simply necessary to sort through these. The interest is to limit the production of plastic generating CO2 emissions & significant use of resources during manufacturing, as well as to reduce the number of plastic waste ending up in natural spaces. On average, recycled plastic generates 45% CO2, 94% water & 42% less energy than conventional plastic .

PET Polyethylene terephthalate

PET plastic is fully recyclable and loses very few of its characteristics during recycling and can therefore be reused several times. PET is generally used for making bottles. When it is recycled, we speak of RPET (Recycled PET). We offer different promotional products in RPET such as bags and light and modular objects.

HDPE High Density PolyEthylene

HDPE plastic is opaque, durable & waterproof in nature. It is usually used in the food, medical and chemical sectors; for the manufacture of tanks, packaging etc. It is also recyclable in suitable bins. This material is rarely used in advertising objects and goodies.

PVC Polyvinyl Chloride

PVC plastic is mainly manufactured in the industrial sector: pipes,  floor coverings, window frames. This material is recyclable on an industrial scale only, which is not particularly problematic because it is not the most used plastic. This product is also rarely used as an advertising item.

LDPE Low Density PolyEthylene

LDPE plastic is flexible, impact resistant, waterproof. It is one of the most harmful materials for the environment because it is the most common plastic and it is not recyclable in our sorting bins. This plastic is used for trash or supermarket bags, for example. When making goodies, this material is sometimes used to individually protect each goodie. We call on our customers to avoid individual packaging when possible or to prefer a kraft bag to protect the advertising item if necessary.

PP PolyPropylene

PP plastic is used in the automobile and food industries, particularly for yogurt pots, for example. It has recently entered the yellow bin for areas where the extension of sorting instructions is applied (depending on the city, etc.). This plastic is often used for the manufacture of water bottles in the promotional object sector.

PS Expanded PolyStyrene

PS is a hard and brittle plastic. It is a very common and non-recyclable plastic. This plastic is very often used to hold a product in its packaging. We suggest when possible to replace the PS with cardboard for the cushioning of your goodies for a more eco-designed communication.
